Daily Sketch Mar 28 - Flashdance

I decided everyone needed a little more Flashdance for their long Easter weekend. I credit the idea for this to my friend and ComicCon buddy, Anthony Haley. I don't recall how we got on the subject of Flashdance, but I am sure it had to do with someone at the last con.

I'm a maniac, maniac on the floor...and I'm dancing like I've never danced before!

Daily Sketch Mar 19 - Febreze Crosses the Line

The current Febreze commercials irritate me a bit for two reasons:
1. How dare you put people in filth just to sell your product. Gross!
2. I don't believe for one second that Frebreze can eliminate rotting smells, garbage, etc, to the point people think they are smelling a summer breeze. It barely smells good itself.
With that said, I believe the only logical course these ads will take is that people are going to locked up with rotting corpses and Febreze pumped inside.

Daily Sketch Mar 14 - Why Are You Still Talking?!

My boyfriend Ted Morris and I own a 3-legged dog and when we take her for a walk, it is accompanied by lots of stares, ooh & aahs and chatting to some interesting people. Unfortunately, it is also accompanied, sometimes, by having to talk to stupid people. This is a conversation Ted (who is a veterinarian) had with a Russian fellow on the street one day. Ted doesn’t tolerate ignorance for very long as you can see. God I love that man!

Daily Sketch Mar 13 - It Burns!!!!

When I was on the cruise, my cruise buddy Richard Ryder and I were talking about this Elmer's glue like sunscreen I was using and how it prevented me from sweating in the Caribbean heat, almost making me pass out on one of the islands. I felt like I was being burned at the stake everytime I used it...like Joan of Arc. On another note, when someone at the most recent Comic Con saw this, I was told that the flag and sword were not period specific to Joan of Arc. I told that person I didn't care and to get a life that didn't involve talking to me. HAHA

Daily Sketch Mar 11 - Warming Up

This weekend I was at the Toronto ComicCon with my friend and con partner Anthony TheDemon Haley. There were lots of people watching, as well as, talking to some really great people and some really awkward people. All of it was lots of fun and I got tons of drawing done. The daily sketches this week will all be stuff I drew at the con to keep myself busy and sane.

This is just a warmup sketch of me warming up. Jazzercise anyone?!

Daily Sketch Mar 5 - The Glitter Party

Everyday on the cruise there was a pre-dinner dance and then a dance after dinner (the gays love their dancing). One of the dances was the "Glitter Party" and the name describes it all. I ended up in a glittery pair of underwear and not much else thanks to the group I met and hung out with the whole time. Also, since this party happened late in the cruise, there were all kinds of shenanigans on the dance floor. Good times.

Daily Sketch Mar 4 - Is it the Ship or Me?

Daily Sketches will finally be those I drew while on the cruise or of things I saw on the cruise (some of which I can't unsee). Today's is about a fact I didn't know about until I had been on a huge ship. Walking around on a ship in the open ocean is a lot like being drunk all the time. Although, I have to say, I was drunk most of the time so maybe it was me and not the ship. I'm blaming the ship.
