Pillow Fight - Batman, Joker & Mr. Freeze
When I was in art school, I had an idea to do pop culture characters involved in pillow fights. It has always been in the back of my mind, but was never able to get them looking how I wanted. Now, I am revisiting this notion and here is the first of many to come. Most will be comic book characters at first, because I love comics, but eventually I want to include characters from across pop culture.

My Avatar
This is basically my avatar character. I am a redhead so I always draw characters that represent me as ginger cats. I also have an affinity for armor, swords and culture of the Greek/Roman eras...Greek being my favorite. I designed this outfit to give a "Wonder Woman" feel to the character (thus the lasso) because Wonder Woman is one of my all time favorite comic book characters.
The Death of Thumbelina
I don't tend to make super sensitive cutesy pictures. Granted, many seem cutesy, but if you look carefully, most of my images are slightly F***ed up. Recently I had an idea to do some "Fucked Up Fairytales". This was my idea for how Thumbelina dies. What a way to go. There are some changes I have to make on this particular picture, but only minor cosmetic things.

Star Wars: A New Hope
When Star Wars first came out I was quite young, but this was the poster I saw everywhere during that time and it was what made me really want to see the movie and would stare at this forever while my mom shopped. This movie had everything. There was the young hero, Luke, with his shirt open all sexy like, holding a big glowing rod. It had a princess that everyone thought needed rescuing, but who in all reality kicked ass with the best of them. Finally, there was the big bad in his amazing floating space station that looked like a moon and his ability to kill people from a distance. All this sparked every bit of my vast imagination as it still does to this day.
Star Wars Cats
The Star Wars movies & cartoons are probably my favorite movies/shows of all times. The Star Wars Universe is for sure my favorite sci-fi universe...it's just so cool! I think the notion of the force and lightsabers were what cemented this for me as a young child and has continued throughout my adulthood. The best of the Star Wars worlds....Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It has been distilled into the very best stories and character development of all the franchises. If you haven't seen it, check it out, you won't be disappointed.

The Destruction of Snowkyo
I used to read a massive amount of Calvin and Hobbes when I was a child, and this is somewhat inspired by some of the panels I used to roll on the ground laughing at. Bill Watterson is a genius of the comic strip art form and one of my all time favorite cartoonists. Also, this is inspired by how I view myself walking around the world. Why would I view myself like this you say...because I am very tall and clumsy, thus I destroy stuff constantly.

Sea of Love
This is a concept I came up with while watching underwater science shows. One was on the life of pearl divers who use no tanks or snorkels to collect pearls, just their ability to hold their breath for long spans of time. I decided to put representations of me and my boyfriend in the scene. As in the picture, I have found the real treasure of my life, my boyfriend. Again, I couldn't help putting a Star Wars reference in the background.

Stark 2 Stark
How could I pass up putting two characters with the same last name in the same picture. I decided to put Tony Start (Iron Man) and Ned Stark (Game of Thrones) together in a bar so Ned can tell Tony his sad tales of woe. If anyone noticed, I put them in Moe's Bar from the Simpsons. I have a sickness I think! LOL.

Murica
I moved to Canada almost 13 years ago from the USA...the land of guns and ignorance. After being deprogrammed by the Canadian citizenry, I have a much different view of my birth country. It isn't the same place of hope it was when I was growing up. It has turned into something strange and, qutie frankly, scary. This picture pretty much says everything about the United States these days...GUNS & FLAGS!

Middle Earth School
I am a huge pop culture person and it is such a huge part of my life and my career as an artist. I love to mash up genres and references, but sometimes they just write themselves with no mash ups needed. Frodo never seemed very smart...just lucky.
This would be my review of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy: "In these movies, I really only cared about what was happening to that magnificent piece of jewelry Frodo was toting around. All the other shit was just plain boring. Not enough ring, not enough magic."

Leather Bear Review
This is another work in progress. I had this idea during Pride 2014 and thought it would be a fun image to do. If you are not familiar with the term "bear" it is a segment of the gay community that generally consists of larger (muscular or "big boned") gay men that tend to be hairy. One of the big factors of getting this done is the fact that I eventually have to put hair on everyone (except the girls) and that is going to take a very long time. If you are interested to know the names of each type of bear, see below (from L to R):
Polar Bear (older bear)
Cub (young bear)
Muscle Bear
Lady Bear (bear drag)
Otter (thin but hairy)
Panda Bear (Asian Bear)
Black Bear (African American Bear)
Brown Bear (Latino Bear)
Leather Bear
Ursula (lesbian that identifies with the bear community)
Goldilocks (straight girls that like to hang around bears)
Please be reminded that these are not terms I coined, they are well known terms within the community.

Kitten Fondue
Yeah, you heard me right...Kitten Fondue. This is a follow up to my biggest selling picture to date, Bunny Sushi (see Color Pencil heading to view Bunny Sushi). I have this problem where I seem to want to put animals in food related situations that they may not normally show up. This is one such instance and it was glorious!

Justice League: Tea Party
Sometimes I just can't help what my brain makes me draw. Why a tea party? Because Wonder Woman is bad ass enough to make those boys sit down and have some fucking tea! A lot of my art, the vast majority, have silly childish humor in it, which is the part I love the most and they always make me giggle when I see them again.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
Raiders of the Lost Ark is by far one of my favorite movies. It has action, adventure and a super sexy leading man! As a young boy, the opening scene had me excited and scared the whole time, while I am sure my eyes dried out from never blinking. When I do pictures like this, I love to throw in references from other movies, usually by the same creator...thus the Vadar head.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
I love all the Indiana Jones movies...well, all but the last one. As a young kid, they really spoke to me and made me dream of a life of exploration and discovery. Did my life go that path? No, I found out archaeology is nothing like the Indiana Jones movies and that put a damper on my archaeologist dreams. Instead, as and artist, I can now just draw him in any adventure I want and let my imagination do the exploring for me. I love my brain!

Han Shot First
One thing I have to say is that I tend to have a very dirty mind. I often take the most innocent of sayings or terms and turn them dirty for my own amusement. This is one such instance. "Han shot first" is a huge rallying cry from Star Wars fans in favor of the original movies before their re-edit where George Lucas made it so that Han Solo shot Gredo out of self defense, rather than out of some morally ambiguous reason. So when I was at a comic book convention I kept overhearing people yell this and I couldn't stop giggling at how dirty it sounded...thus this picture presented itself.

Ghost in the Machine
I would love to say how this one came to mind, but I have no idea. Often these things just jump into my mind while I am day dreaming or just walking down the street listening to music. I really love this picture in its simplicity and for how cute it is!

Fresh Bear Claws
This idea was actually proposed to me by my boyfriend, comedian Ted Morris. He thought this was hysterical and I was more than happy to make it a reality.

De Los Muertos Cat
I really like the aesthetic of the De Los Muertos makeup. It has an eerie quality that, when done well, can turn out so beautiful. This is still a work in progress.

Bipolar Bear
I am a huge sucker for word play and this, and the previous post, tickled my fancy one day when I was walking down the street day dreaming. He just can't get away from his polar opposite (get it?!)

Bi Polar Bear
I am a huge sucker for word play and this, and the next post, tickled my fancy one day when I was walking down the street day dreaming. He just wants to get his freak on!

ADVENTURE TIME!
I love the show Adventure Time. Mainly because it is silly, often makes no sense and, best of all, it just brings me joy.
