So is anyone else a little disappointed that there wasn't an apocalypse? I have to say, if there was one, I think my boyfriend Ted and I could totally survive!

Daily Sketch Dec 19 - Oh Gandalf

So I was watching Fellowship of the Ring while I was sick, not because I love the movie, but because the controller was too far away to get and change the channel. While watching, I had the thought of how awful it'd be to have Gandalf as a school teacher. What a drama queen!

Daily Sketch Dec 17 - Hug a Stranger

Well I haven't posted a sketch for a few days as I was to sick, but here is one now that I am feeling at least human. Recently I saw an billboard that said "Hug a stranger. We're all relatives if we go back far enough." That got me to thinking of how going up to a stranger and trying to hug them would actually translate in today's society. My conclusion was that it would translate...poorly.

Daily Sketch Dec 12 - Girls Are Scary

Have I mentioned I loved going to AnimeCon? I hope I get to go to Anime North this coming year as it will be strangeness times a million! One thing I don't quite understand is the big body pillows with scantily clad characters on them, although I couldn't argue with this guy's reasoning.

Daily Sketch Dec 11 - Not Anime Enough

So I experienced my first AnimeCon and it was quite a lot of fun. I really do love sitting at a table and talking to all the people that come up. Some are incredibly nice and fun to talk to, while others look like deer in headlights when you say hello. Then there are those that meet my pleasantness with insults. They probably don't mean it as an insult, but as my mother always told me...think before you speak. This sketch is one of those moments I had at the con this weekend. Insult a gay and all you’re going to get back is snark.

Daily Sketch Dec 10 - Treats from Strangers

The weekend was quite eventful and had so much to draw about (which will be filling most this week’s drawings).  Saturday I went to watch my friend Debra DiGiovanni do comedy at a cannabis friendly establishment that puts on a comedy show.  A gentleman offered us some evil looking purple liquid from a squirt bottle, which we politely declined because when he sprayed it into his mouth, I am positive I saw the spray come out as a skull and crossbones.

Holiday Sketch Dec 6th - Holiday Showdown

Decorating for the holidays is always such an ordeal in an office environment.  They always make it seem like there is some ongoing war between the holidays and can never seem to come up with a compromise.  My solution is always to decorate for both holidays, which I believe makes me the Buddhist in this situation...always trying to keep the peace. HAHA

Want to know what happens to your Xmas tree when you aren't away...Shenanigans, that is what! I've been told cats are so devilishly destructive at Christmas. Also, who knew they could operate parachutes? Your tree is DOOMED!

Today's sketch is a PSA for everyone....Beware mistletoe, it's a trap! And that's one to grow on.

Grey Cup Tribute

Since the Grey Cup was this weekend and I was in the heart of it while at the Royal York hotel during the comic book convention, I was trying to predict which team would win. Here was my predicition, which seemed logical at the time, but came out completely wrong.

This weekend I was at the Nov 25th Fan Expo comic book convention with my friend Anthony TheDemon Haley, selling our wares. Had a pretty good weekend and I want to thank everyone that came up to talk to us and especially those people who bought stuff from us. I was watching a lot of action movies this weekend so decided to draw something with a monster hunter. It is fun drawing monsters...maybe I will continue along this line once in a while. Tenticles on the other hand are not so much fun and hard to get looking right.  I will get more holiday oriented stuff soon...but I have all of December to really get into the holiday theme.

Do you suppose mimes have real Christmas or imagined Christmas (that is how I am making this a holiday sketch...see what I did there?)  All I can say is Mime Prison has to have the harshest conditions ever.  Free the mimes!  Wait a minute, I take that back...don't free the mimes!!!

I didn't really have a good idea for a holiday sketch, so I just drew this while I was watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars last night. I love Star Wars and I would so love a lightsaber. Why can't science work on that instead of guns and missles?

So I felt like being a fundamentalist christian this weekend just to see how it felt...you know, walk a mile in someone elses judgmental shoes. I can see the appeal as over zealous self righteousness is highly addictive. Luckily my gayness was too strong and I reverted back to my normal self. During this stint of religious ecstacy it appears I drew the following.

Here comes Link to rescue his princess.  Is that how this game goes?  I am not sure since I have never played it, but I know it was a super popular game, it is just that I never got to own a Nintendo system when I was a youth.  I have always loved the designs of the game so thought it would be fun to do. Fresh Bear Claws...MMMMM!

I have to give props to my boyfriend for giving me the idea for this picture. This is what he thinks of when he sees those delicious fresh pastries in the donut shop display case. He wanted a drawing of what he imagines and here is what I came up with. Maybe you will think twice about where delicious honey glazed bearclaws come from next time you order one.

Jon Snow - Winter is Coming

I realized I have not put up a bunch of pictures I did for the last FanExpo in Toronto. I did a flurry of work trying to get enough items to sell and just never got them up here on the site. I hope you all enjoy.

I recently started watching Game of Thrones and just can't get enough of the show. I haven't read the books which I hear are amazing, but I just don't have the time to invest at the moment. One of the characters I love is Jon Snow. Both sexy and brooding...not so much on the brooding, but hey, no one is perfect.

I know I should have saved this sketch for Valentine’s Day, but my boyfriend and I don’t really celebrate that holiday because we show our love all year long (I can hear the jealous groans already, but it is true). So this is a tribute to him and my luck at finding such a rare and exceptionally funny person to spend my life with…not to mention cute. Love!

I have noticed winter's invasion of Toronto these last week or so. The cold has crept in and even the audacity of it trying to snow. Since I am a worshipper of summer and heat (much like a reptile...hmm), I present to you my call to arms to drive old man winter from our city! Operation White Dawn.

Holiday Sketch Nov 7th - Movember!

Since November is the month of the moustache, today's sketch is in support of Movember and all the baby staches being cultivated right now. I went for a 1970's hot cop stripper type theme with this one. Why? Because they had the best moustaches and, I must admit, I like hot cops...and tear away pants!

Holiday(ish) Sketch Nov 6 - Dawn Patrol

Ok so not so much a holiday sketch, but last night my fabulous boyfriend Ted Morris was hosting the hilarious comedy show Dawn Patrol (put on by the lovely Dawn Whitwell) and he let me run the sound board. My name was DJ Jazzhands Jeff and it was a blast. Now granted, it was just pushing the play button on an Ipod, but hey, dillusions of grandeur eh?   (If you haven’t checked out Dawn Patrol yet, look for it Mondays at the Comedy Bar in Toronto.)

I remember as a child running and jumping into piles of leaves...what a fun time, at least for me as I wasn't the one raking said leaves.  If I had known the truth about what lies beneath some piles, I would never have been so foolish.  Beware!

Halloween Drawing Oct 26

Here is today's Halloween drawing for you.  I was inspired by a couple of youths I overheard on the street talking about how to rid the world of zombies in the event of an zombie apocalypse. They suggested that the zombies be lured into spaceships and sent to another planet. Aside from the many scientific questions that statement causes (such as current rocket technology, cost/time to build said rockets and why to another planet...why not just into space and blow them up?), the first thing I thought of was,  "What happens if we send them to an inhabited planet." For your consideration...this scenario.

I have always had a real love for Greek mythology, so I started to place my cats as mythological figures.  This first one is of the siren sisters who sang many a salty dawg to the bottom of the sea. Plug your ears as they sing their sweet melody of love and longing or you could be their next victim.  (If you are wondering what they are singing…think “Ghost”.)
